Areas of research/interest:Neurophysiology of the vertebrate olfactory system; graphical and statistical methods for spike-train analysis; development and use of simulations in neurobiology, behavioral ecology and evolution.
Awards: United Methodist Church Exemplary Teaching Award—Wesleyan College, 2004.
Research with students: I have sponsored student-faculty research into areas as diverse as olfactory physiology, classical conditioning in snapping turtles and reproductive behavior in parasitoid wasps.
